Hongkong enters in Budha Subbas semifinals
Dharan, April 10 – Hongkong has entered in semifinals of the Red Bull Budha Subba Gold Cup at Anfa Technical Centre in Dharan on Tuesday. Pukar Gahatraj scored a brace for Hong Kong Nepalese Federation in their laborious 2-1 victory over Nepal Police Club
Ghatraj hit the target in either side of the break to complete a memorable victory for the visitors against their mighty opponents. He put Hong Kong into a lead in the 13th minute and sealed the victory in the 72nd minute after Parbat Pandey had cancelled out his lead in the 63rd minute from the spot.
Against the run of play, Ghatraj tapped in from close range into an open goal, latching on to a cross from Dodoz Leyons. After the break, Police returned to the field with an all-attacking mindset. Their persistent effort won them a penalty after Peter Segun was tripped by Ganesh Khadka inside the area. However, Police’s sloppy defense paid its price when Gahatraj punished them through his solo effort to score the winning goal.
