Nepal reaches to semi-final
Kathmnadu , march 31 -Nepal secured in the semi-final of the ACC Twenty20 Cup after registering a 121-runs victory against a lowly Singapore at the Tribhuvan University cricket ground on Sunday.
Nepal’s Binod Bhandari hit an impressive half century to set a massive 211-run target for Singapore in must-win match for Nepal in the ongoing ACC Twenty-20 Cup Cricket Tournament on Sunday.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Nepal managed to score 210 runs in 20 overs by losing just 5 wickets in the match played at TU Cricket Grounds, Kirtipur. This is also the highest score by any team in the tournament.
Apart from Bhandari who hit four sixes and three fours in his impressive knock, Nepal’s captain Paras Khadka played well for his 44 runs while Pradip Aire and Gyanendra Malla hit 30 runs each.
On Saturday, Nepal had defeated Malaysia by 19 runs in the group stage of the ACC T20 and increased their chances of making it to the semis.
