Huawei Nepal announces winners of "Seeds for the Future"

KATHMANDU, JULY 16: Huawei Nepal has announced the winners of its "Seeds for the Future"- the flagship CSR initiative aimed at developing skilled ICT talent and fostering cross-cultural communication.

This event, held lately as part of Huawei's Seeds for the Future program, brought together 30 shortlisted students from an impressive pool of over 300 applicants. Following the final interviews, an independent panel of selectors, interviewed the shortlisted students and evaluated their final scores to decide on the finalists.

The students were judged based on criteria such as leadership skills, academic excellence, communication skills, teamwork collaboration, adaptability and flexibility, motivation and passion, problem-solving, technical skills and knowledge, innovation, social responsibility, and ethics, among others.

The top six students who received the highest scores and made it to the finals are Mr. Aashish Karki, Ms. Angelina Ghimire, Ms. Priyanshu Sharma, Ms. Sadhana Panthi, Mr. Samip Aryal, and Ms. Samriddhi Karki. They will compete in the regional competition to be held in September 2024 in China under the Tech4Good Regional round.

During the final stage of the competition, the students will benefit from networking opportunities, receive additional guidance from local and international mentors, and gain real-world business experience through the program. The winners will also have a unique opportunity to explore China’s digital landscape, get introduced to ICT and emerging high-tech companies, gain insights into their operations, and participate in interactive sessions with industry leaders.
