NA members seek investigation into alleged irregularities in MEC results
KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 3: In today's National Assembly (NA) meeting, lawmakers voiced their concerns over alleged irregularities in the Medical Education Commission (MEC) results, urging a thorough investigation to uncover the truth. During the zero hour, Krishan Prasad Paudel accused the MEC of negligence, while Goma Devi Timilsina highlighted that the available reports raise serious questions about the credibility of the exam.
Bhuwan Bahadur Sunuwar emphasized the need for a probe into the alleged anomalies in medical education and called for appropriate action if wrongdoing is confirmed.
Additionally, the lawmakers addressed various other issues. Bhuwan Bahadur Sunuwar also called on the government to clarify the recent statement made by the Minister for Communications and Information Technology regarding the police chief.
Narayana Datta Mishra expressed concern about Nepali citizens being stranded at airports in Brazil and Russia. Madan Kumari Shah alleged that Nepali citizens were unlawfully recruited into the Russian armed forces, resulting in the deaths of 40 Nepalis. She urged the government to take immediate action to protect the lives of those involved. Yubaraj Sharma urged the government to prioritize police adjustment to strengthen the federal system.
