NLHDA urges govt to fulfill its demands

KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 16: The Nepal Land and Housing Developers’ Association (NLHDA) has asked the government to take the initiative to fulfil its various key demands.
The delegation, led by the Association’s president Bhesh Raj Lohani, submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and made such a call yesterday in the capital.
Ensuring organized and scientific urban development, refraining from enforcing an additional 20-meter riverbank regulation in Kathmandu, introduction of land development programs in collaboration with the private sector, passing of an urbanization bill, and the digitalization of land and housing transactions are the main demands of the association.
In response, PM Oli assured that the government would take the concerns of the realty entrepreneurs seriously and work accordingly. He also stressed the need to regulate the real estate sector and make the necessary legal and structural reforms to align it with national development goals.
