Remmitance inflow swells by 18 percent

KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 27: The remittances sent by Nepalis working abroad through formal channels stood at Rs 136.93 billion in Shrawan (mid-July to mid-August), the first month of the current fiscal year 2024/25. According to the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), this represents an 18 per cent rise compared to the corresponding month last year..

 During the review month, 36,928 Nepalis received final work permits (both institutional and individual-new) , while 22,647 individuals renewed their permits. In the same period last year, these numbers were 39,152 and 16,423, respectively.
