29 water supply projects completed in Tanahu and Nawalpur

TANAHU, OCTOBER 14 : Twenty-nine water supply projects were completed in Tanahu and Nawalpur during the fiscal year 2023/24, according to the Water Supply and Sanitation Division Office. These projects were implemented under the Office's supervision.
Engineer Binu Lohani from the Division Office reported that 19 of these projects in Tanahu and nine in Nawalpur were funded by the Gandaki Province government, while one project in Tanahu was financed by the federal government.
Additionally, 215 projects—152 in Tanahu and 63 in Nawalpur—are currently under construction as carry-over projects from the previous fiscal year, funded by the provincial government.
On the federal level, 53 projects in Tanahu and 21 in Nawalpur are also under construction.
However, Lohani noted that many of these projects remain unfinished due to budget shortages, disputes over water sources, and other challenges.
