Revenue worth Rs 3.58 billion collected in 3 months

BHADRAPUR (JHAPA), OCTOBER 20: The Mechi Customs Office has collected revenue amounting to Rs 3.589 billion in the first quarter of the financial year 2024/25, thus achieving 20.69 per cent of its annual target.
According to customs officer Ganapati Kandel, the customs office aims to collect Rs 17.34 billion in revenue by the fiscal year's end.
The first-quarter collection is Rs 190 million higher than the same period last fiscal year. In the first quarter of FY 2080/81, the office collected Rs 3.39 billion.
The office achieved 78.4 percent of its Rs 18.25 billion revenue target during FY 2080/81. Due to the shortfall, the target for the current year has been reduced by Rs 910 million, the office reported.
