Balephi Hydropower and Liberty Energy announce book closure date for rights share issuance

KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 25: Two hydropower companies have announced the book closure date for issuing rights shares. Balephi Hydropower and Liberty Energy Company will issue 100 percent and 50 percent rights shares, respectively. Both companies scheduled November 6 (Kartik 21) as the book closure date for this purpose. Only shareholders who hold shares as of November 5 (Kartik 20) will be eligible to purchase the rights shares.

Although these two companies have confirmed the book closure date, the public issuance date for the rights shares is yet to be decided. Balephi Hydropower plans to issue 18.28 million rights shares based on its existing paid-up capital of Rs 1.82 billion.

Similarly, Liberty Energy will issue 7.5 million rights shares at a 50 percent ratio, amounting to Rs 750 million, based on its paid-up capital of Rs 1.5 billion. The Nepal Securities Board approved Liberty Energy’s rights issue on October 9 (Asoj 23) and for Balephi Hydropower on October 20 (Kartik 4).
