Ncell Foundation calls for application to drive 19 CSR projects worth over Rs. 19 million

Projects pertain to health, education, environment, disaster preparedness and response, etc

KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 25: Ncell Foundation yesterday announced a call for applications for its ‘19 for 19’ grant as part of its ongoing commitment to social initiatives under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the grassroots level. Launched in celebration of Ncell’s 19th anniversary, this initiative invites eligible organizations to apply for grants aimed at supporting community-level projects that create meaningful and sustainable impacts.

"Building on the success of last year’s ‘18 for 18’ project, which marked Ncell's 18th year of operations in Nepal, this year’s grant reaffirms Ncell Foundation’s dedication to serving underserved communities. The focus areas include health, education, environment, disaster preparedness and response, and livelihood support, among others,2 states a press communique issued by the Foundation.

The ‘19 for 19’ grant will provide financial support to 19 projects across all seven provinces, with each project receiving Rs 1 million (Rs 10 lakh). The total commitment from Ncell Foundation for this initiative exceeds Rs 19 million. The grant is open to not-for-profit organizations that address critical challenges at the community level.

These grants offer organizations an excellent opportunity to secure funding for projects that make a difference, particularly those that promote sustainability and long-term development, according to the communique. Ncell Foundation will prioritize projects that demonstrate clear objectives, active community engagement, and the potential for further scaling.

“At Ncell Foundation, we believe in the power of community-driven change. We encourage those working at the community level to apply for this project,” Bishakha Lakshmi Khadka, Head of Corporate Communications and CSR at Ncell, was quoted by the communique as saying.
