NBA joins Global SME Finance Forum
The network includes banks, non-bank financial institutions, fintech companies, etc.

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 13: The Nepal Bankers’ Association (NBA) has formally joined the global SME Finance Forum. Supported by the G-20 and IFC/World Bank, the SME Finance Forum is a premier global network with over 300 member and partner institutions across 190 countries.
The network includes banks, non-bank financial institutions, fintech companies, payment platforms, development organizations, credit guarantee institutions, insurance providers, investment funds, banking and SME associations, and academic institutions.
Kamal Saleem, head of the SME Finance Forum, said that the NBAa's membership would help enhance financial access for SMEs in Nepal’s growing market.
Sunil KC, President of the Nepal Bankers’ Association, highlighted that joining this prestigious forum would greatly benefit Nepal’s banking sector, especially as both regulators and banks are actively focused on improving financial access for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
