Construction of Rs 6 billion Annapurna Square commences
With the 25-story building, it will be Nepal's largest hotel

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 18: The construction of Annapurna Square, poised to be Nepal’s largest hotel, has formally begun. A ritual ceremony was held to mark the construction commencement. The 25-story building is being built on the site of the former Annapurna Hotel in Durbar Marg with a joint investment of Rs 6 billion. Min Bahadur Gurung, operator of Bhatbhateni Super Market, the Annapurna Group, and the Indian company Little Angels are investors.
Once completed, the Indian luxury chain ITC Hotels will manage the five-star hotel. The new hotel will feature 318 rooms, 30 serviced apartments, four conference venues, a shopping arcade, and an entertainment area.
Annapurna Square is expected to come into operation on April 13, 2028.
