Temperature continues to plummet in Kathmandu Valley

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 11 : The westerly winds are having widespread effects across the country. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy in the hilly regions and fair in the remaining areas. Foggy conditions have been reported in some parts of the Terai and hilly regions.

In the Kathmandu Valley, temperatures are steadily dropping; this morning, the minimum temperature was recorded at 8 degrees Celsius, which has since increased slightly to 10 degrees Celsius.

The Department predicts that today's maximum temperature in the federal capital will range between 19 and 21 degrees Celsius.The Meteorological Forecasting Division indicates that the weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while remaining fair in other parts of the country.

Light rain is likely at one or two locations in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with light snowfall expected in some high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.Tonight, the weather will continue to be partly cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

There is a possibility of light rain at one or two places in these regions. Over the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain is anticipated at one or two locations in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with light snowfall in select high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
