LUMBINI, NOVEMBER 29: Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Chet Narayan Acharya, stated that the provincial government is working to streamline public service delivery in areas such as visa processing, labour permit approvals, health checkups, and other related services to support the regular operation of Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) in Lumbini.

Addressing an interaction program on "Sustainable Operation, Investment, and Possibilities of GBIA" yesterday, Chief Minister Acharya highlighted the opportunities created by the commencement of international flights from Lumbini. He urged the Federal Government to delegate procedural rights for tasks like visa issuance and labour permit approvals to the provincial level.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the airport’s operation has fostered a conducive environment for investment and called on investors to proceed with confidence. He also expressed the provincial government’s willingness to amend any laws that may be obstructing investment opportunities.

Furthermore, Acharya pledged to facilitate the development of the Lumbini Tourism Circuit, ensuring that tourists visiting Lumbini can enjoy seamless travel arrangements within the region.

The event, co-organized by Nepal Chamber Lumbini and other organizations, was attended by entrepreneurs and members of the business community. During the program, business leaders expressed optimism about the growth of the tourism industry in Lumbini, attributing it to the launch of international flights at the airport.
