FNCCI prez announces Rs 10 billion company to mobilise domestic capital

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 24: Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), has assured that the challenges of investment shortages in impactful local projects and enterprise development will soon be a thing of the past.

Speaking at the Bhanu Municipality Festival in Tanahun today, President Dhakal emphasized the importance of mobilizing domestic capital. He announced the establishment of a company with a capital investment of Rs 10 billion and encouraged the submission of investment project proposals.

Highlighting Nepal's abundant opportunities in tourism, energy, information technology, and agricultural production, Dhakal urged local entrepreneurs to leverage the newly established company, which aims to facilitate financial management and partnerships for investment. He also noted that the Nepal government, responding to FNCCI's advocacy, is revising laws that were previously considered barriers to investment, further enhancing the investment climate.

Dhakal remarked that the present moment is ideal for investment, citing the rise in tourist arrivals, sufficient foreign currency inflows from remittances, adequate liquidity in the banking sector, and balanced interest rates.

Expressing his support for ongoing efforts to transform Bhanu Bhakta Acharya's birthplace into a premier tourist destination and to promote local products, Dhakal extended his best wishes to Bhanu Municipality.
