Ncell receives ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications for information security and data privacy

It is the first Nepali telco to get such recognitions

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 9: Ncell has lately achieved the ISO 27001:2022 (ISMS) and ISO 27701:2019 (PIMS) certifications, which is claimed to have solidified its position as a leader in data security and privacy within the Nepali telecommunications sector.

"This significant milestone makes Ncell the first telecom company in Nepal to be certified in both Information Security Management System (ISMS) and Privacy Information Management System (PIMS)," states a press release issued by the company. The scope of these certifications encompasses Ncell's Data Center, Customer Service, and IT Services, further enhancing reliability and data protection.

"Receiving these globally recognized standards is a critical achievement in our ongoing efforts to strengthen information security and privacy management,"  Jabbor Kayumov, CEO and Managing Director of Ncell, reportedly said.
