FNCCI welcomes ordinances meant for improving business climate

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 15 : Today, at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Home Minister Ramesh Lekh, and other ministers were present.

During the meeting, Federation President Chandraprasad Dhakal, Nepal Industry Association President Rajesh Kumar Agarwal, Nepal Chamber of Commerce President Kamlesh Agarwal, and Nepal Federation of Industries and Commerce President Bhagirat Sapkota expressed their support for the investment and business-related provisions in the newly issued ordinances.

Private sector representatives highlighted that these ordinances would play a crucial role in revitalizing the economy, which has been impacted by COVID-19. They urged the government to introduce appropriate rules and procedures for their effective implementation. They also noted that the ordinances would inject new vitality into the private sector, and if an investment-friendly environment is fostered in this manner, it would contribute significantly to achieving the national goal of a prosperous Nepal and a happy Nepali population.
