Power cut-off in various parts of Kathmandu for eight days from today

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 3: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has announced a planned disruption in the power supply to the Kuleshwor, Baneshwor, Jorpati, and Kirtipur distribution centres in Kathmandu for eight days, starting today. The outages are necessary for undergrounding the electrical distribution lines, according to the NEA.
The NEA's Project Management Directorate has stated that electricity will be cut off from 11 AM to 4 PM in areas served by these feeders today.
The scheduled outages will affect the following areas: on Monday, power will be cut off around the Bhatkekopul Bridge (Chabahil); on Tuesday, around the Kalanki Land Revenue Office; on Wednesday, in Balkumari, Imadol, and Lubhu; on Thursday, from Naikap to Balambu; on Friday, from Balkhu to Chobhar Gate; and on Sunday, in areas under the Jorpati feeder, from Baba Chowk to the Cricket Stadium.
Additionally, power outages are planned for Monday from Gaushala Chowk to Old Baneshwor, and on Tuesday from Ratopul to Gaushala.
The NEA has apologized for the inconvenience caused by these disruptions and has assured that no shutdowns will occur if the weather remains unfavorable.
