Net profit of Citizen Investment Fund over 620 million

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 7: The Citizen Investment Fund has reported a net profit of Rs. 622.2 million for the second quarter of the current fiscal year. This is an increase of approximately 14% compared to last year, when the fund's net profit stood at Rs. 546 million for the same period.
As of the second quarter, the total income of the fund is Rs. 103 million, while total expenses exceed Rs. 20.86 million. Last year, the fund's total income was over Rs. 92.45 million, and expenses amounted to more than Rs. 19.65 million. Both income and expenses have risen this year. The return on equity for the period is 6.65%, and the net worth per share stands at Rs. 143.18.
The fund’s annual earnings per share is Rs. 19.20, according to the financial statement. As of the second quarter, the share capital of the fund exceeds Rs. 648 million, and the reserve fund has grown to over Rs. 287 million. The total investment value of the fund is more than Rs. 28,645 million.
Additionally, the Citizen Investment Fund has invested Rs. 50 million in Nepal government bonds and holds term deposits worth over Rs. 13,800 million.
