Revenue from realty surges to Rs 4.12 billion

KATHMANDU, MARCH 16: The government has collected Rs 4.12 billion in revenue from the real estate sector in Falgun (mid-February to mid-March, marking an increase of Rs 0.25 billion. Rs 3.87 billion was mobilised from the sector in the previous month of Magh (mid-January to mid-February), according to the Department of Land Management and Archives. I
With real estate transactions gradually normalizing, the revenue collection has risen. Specifically, Rs 288 million was generated from service tax, Rs 2.20 billion from registration fees, and Rs 1.57 billion from capital gains tax during the review month.
On a monthly basis, the government collected Rs 3.83 billion in Shrawan (mid-July to mid-August), Rs 3.9 billion in Bhadra (mid-August to mid-September), Rs 3.8 billion in Ashwin (mid-September to mid-October), Rs 2.70 billion in Kartik (mid-October to mid-November), Rs 3.87 billion in Mangsir (mid-November to mid-December), Rs 4.25 billion in Poush(mid-December to mid-January).
The Land Revenue Office in Lagankhel, Lalitpur district, alone collected Rs 380.2 million in Falgun, according to the department.
