Glocal After School to hold Skill Week 2024 on April 1-8
KATHMANDU, MARCH 31: Glocal After School, an entity of Glocal Pvt. Ltd., has announced to hold Skill Week 2024 from April 1 to 8. The announcement was made during a press conference held today in the capital. The said program is based on four themes: Green Ecosystem, Digital Transformation, International Connectivity and Dual/VET Apprenticeship.
The event’s main highlights are Talks, Presentations, Exhibitions, Displays, Competitions, Workshops, Training, Skill fests, Entertainment, Job Fairs, and Human Library Sessions by distinguished experts and guests. From 1st April to 6th April, workshops will be provided by different organizations and individuals at various venues. In addition to this, a round table discussion is being held on 7th April 2024 which is an Industry-Academia Interaction during Skill Wheel.

Similarly, a round table discussion is being held on 7th April and, a day later, CEO Unplugged, a forum to discuss entrepreneurship, contemporary business challenges, possibilities, and futuristic views for newcomers in the business world and students, is scheduled to take place.
On the Closing Ceremony of Skill Week, the Skill Hero Award will also be organized on the evening of 8th April 2024 where five veterans from their respective fields of Art & Culture, Tourism & Hospitality, Entrepreneurship, Science & Technology and Apprenticeship will be recognized and awarded.
This year’s Skill Week is endorsed by the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Nepal Chamber of Commerce while the European Union, Embassy of India, UNHCR, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, ENSSURE and Kathmandu Metropolitan City are its Strategic Partners.
Likewise, the event has Honda, Coca-Cola, British Council, Schiva, WorldLink and Kathmandu World School as its partners, The Soaltee Kathmandu as initiative partners and King’s College, Hotel Association Nepal & NADA as knowledge partners.
