Only money loaded from a credit card is non transferrable
Kathmandu, May 4. According to a directive issued by Nepal Rastra Bank on the 19th of Baishakh, 2079 BS, the amount loaded from a credit card can no longer be transferred to the bank. Khalti has already been implementing this rule for the past two years.
As soon as this rule is implemented, user who have loaded wallet through credit card will be able to use the money for service payments only however the amount loaded via any online method other than credit card can be easily transferred staying within Nepal Rastra Bank’s transfer limit. Regarding this directive, Khalti’s CEO, Mr. Binay Khadka shared
“Khalti have been in compliant with the provision before the directive from NRB itself, we believe this provision from regulator shall act as one more step towards responsible use of digital channels“
