Two steel rebars of Panchkanya recognised with GreenPro certification

Panchakanya Steel Pvt. Ltd. yesterday announced that its two steel rebar products- 500XD and 550XD- have received the prestigious GreenPro certification, a Type 1 ecolabel. This is said to have underscored the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability and excellence in construction. The GreenPro Ecolabel is accredited by the Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN) through GENICES – GEN’s Internationally Coordinated Ecolabelling System.

The GreenPro certification, awarded by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) - Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre, recognizes products that meet strict standards for environmental performance.

 "GreenPro-certified steel rebars offer recognition and credits for achieving green building certifications, enhancing product performance by reducing resource consumption, and ensuring safety by eliminating toxic substances," states a press release issued by the company. 

"When it comes to structural designers, these high-quality rebars support better design, increase durability, reduce verification efforts, and enhance construction cost-effectiveness and speed."

For manufacturers, GreenPro certification differentiates products from competitors, encourages innovation, increases resource conservation, and drives environmental excellence, according to the release. 

Panchakanya Steel’s 500XD and 550XD steel rebars, manufactured at the Bhairahawa facility, also bear the GreenPro Ecolabel.
