India clinches SAFF women championship title
Biratnagar, March 22 . India has won the title of Fifth SAFF Women Championship. India clinched the title defeating Nepal by 3-1 in final match held here on Friday.
This is the fifth time India won this title continuously. Dalima Chhibbar, Grace Danmei and Anju Tamang scored goals for India while Sabitra Bhandari made one goal for Nepal in the match held at Martyrs Stadium of Biratnagar.
Dalima Chhibbar was announced the best player in the match. Sabitra Bhandari of Nepal and Indumati Kathiresan of India scored the highest four goals each during the championship. Bangladesh was awarded as the disciplined team. Nepal reached the final of SAFF Women Championship for the fourth times. RSS
